Part two of Negreanu's Protégé, where an ordinary person can become a poker star, will be launched in December. The winner of this contest will receive four $10,000 buy-ins into important poker tournaments, personal instruction from Negreanu and the opportunity to experience the Vegas-style VIP life.
Brian Fidler, Negreanu’s first protégé, won $200,000 in only six weeks and finished 2nd at the WSOP circuit event in Lake Tahoe. He has appeared in several television shows since then and has become a celebrity.
“The protégé contest is one of the most exciting things happening in poker today. People are always saying, if they just had the chance to play ... well, here's the chance to go all in like never before,” Daniel Negreanu said. “Brian has made me feel like a proud papa these past few months, and I can't wait to see what the next round of protégé contestants bring.”
