The Irish Poker Open, the most important poker tournament in Ireland and Europe’s most historic one, comes back for its 26th edition. Approximately 800 players will take part in it and they will compete for a €2 million prize.

The tournament will be held in Dublin during Easter Weekend 2007 but qualifying rounds start as from August 27th, 2006. The buy in for the Irish Poker Open 2007 is €3,300 with a €200 registration fee.

In 2006, 339 players played for the €1 million pool. Vincent Melinn took home the €350,000 first prize. For the next year, the 800 players will be divided into groups of up to 400 that will compete during two days.
