The Belgium-based company Cartamundi, who received a license to produce and market poker accessories for “Casino Royale”, the newest James Bond movie, has announced the launching of poker cards and poker chips sets that are identical to the ones used by the famous British agent in the film.
“We are proud that a Belgian company, Cartamundi, is able to contribute to the success of the world-famous Bond films,” Bert van Pelt, Business Unit Manager, said. “We hope the publicity generated by the new James Bond film will raise the profile of both Cartamundi and poker in general. Poker has become an absolute rage throughout the world, so we are convinced that this trend can only be stimulated further by the new Bond film 'Casino Royale.'”
Two poker sets have been manufactured, the compact one features 150 chips and the luxury one contains 200 chips. All the products have the Casino Royale logo as designed for the film and are part of a limited edition.
In his new adventure, James Bond plays poker against the villain Le Chiffre at the Casino Royale in Montenegro.
