A new study that was made has showed that there are more women playing online poker. Almost 30% of all the people who participated in the study were women, in relation to a 15% in the year 2004. A gambling company sustains that this tendency is given because of the changes happening in the corporative industry, where more women are getting more important jobs in leader positions.

An ex model and creator of a poker gambling site has made some comments on the study: “In the poker world, women prefer the anonymity of the online world to learn without the risk of making a wrong commentary to another player. However, if you want to commercialize yourself as a poker site, the anonymity has to be broken stick out in such a competitive market”.
