Robbery at Poker Tournament

Four armed and masked robbers got into the Veterans of Foreign Wars hall in Nassau and took cash, wallets and cell phones. More than 80 players were in the Texas Hold’em Tournament.

The robbers entered the room and pointed their guns at the guests, shouting and ordering the dealers to handle over the money from the pots, after that, they took the players’ wallets and purses.

None was harmed during the robbery. According to witnesses, the men were about 25 years old, tall and were wearing dark clothes. The event was a fund raising, and the burglars took between $20,000 and $40,000 in cash, plus the contents of wallets and purses.

The event is held regularly at the VFW hall and All American Poker group organizes it.
