The World Poker Tour announced this week that it will produce a special show entitled Fathers and Sons. The program will be filmed at the Foxwoods Casino Resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut and poker’s most prominent personalities will compete for family pride and a seat in the WPT World Championship.

The father-and-son match'll have the presence of Doyle Brunson and his son, Todd, plus Barry Greenstein and his son Joe Sebok. Millionaire Barry Shulman and his son Jeff Shulman'll also take part in the game as well as Steve Stolzmann and Romeo Simon with their sons John and Michael.

The usual rules for the WPT final table have been modified and the father-son pairs will compete as one player. They will start with $250,000 in chips and the sons will play first while their fathers look on. At any time, fathers can take their son’s seats and play.

“We wanted to create a unique special that would bring a fun and emotional perspective to poker playing families”, Robyn Moder, Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of the WPT, said. “Millions of Americans engage in weekly family poker matches and pride is often the biggest stake in the prize pool. What better way to show our viewers how the pros handle the pressure.”
